Tour the landmark Erasmus Hall Academy (built in 1787) on land donated by the nearby Dutch Reformed Church. Also tour Flatbush DRC sanctuary and cemetery of founding Dutch families. A five minute walk from the Academy.

The biennial award will be presented to the Netherlands-based firms: Bierman Henket architecten and Wessel de Jonge architecten, by Ms. Burnham; Barry Bergdoll, MoMA's Philip Johnson Chief Curator of Architecture & Design and chairman of the Prize jury; and Andrew Cogan, CEO, Knoll, Inc. The presentation will be followed by a free public lecture by Messrs. Henket and de Jonge, who will accept the award on behalf of their firms. Free.

Access to the library's collection which includes a large amount of information on the history and culture of the families that populated the Dutch colonies in America over three centuries ago. While this collection focuses primarily on New Amsterdam and Hudson River settlements, it also follows early Dutch and allied migrations in North America. Admission is $3.00 per person.

Visit Venturella Studio to see the restoration-in-progress of the spectacular stained-glass window depicting Henry Hudson?s ?Arrival of the Half-Moon? given to the New-York Historical Society over 100 years ago by the Daughters of Holland Dames.
