Also included are more than 50 related paintings, prints and drawings that will examine the religious, historic and artistic significance of the core eight works. This exhibition is organized by the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Musée du Louvre, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This is a ticketed exhibition.

This exhibition brings together a group of lively moralizing prints created between 1550 and 1600 in Antwerp and Haarlem, the two major print-publishing centers in the Low Countries. Both sobering and satirical, prints of this type were popular best-sellers, offering both moral instruction and visual delight to a newly expanded audience of educated Dutch and Flemish consumers. Familiar stories from the Bible, tales from Greek and Roman mythology, depictions of contemporary events, and scenes of everyday life all found favor with collectors.

Koolhaas HouseLife examines the daily life of one of the masterpieces of contemporary architecture of recent years: The House in Bordeaux, designed in 1998 by Rem Koolhaas / OMA. (France, 2008, 58 min. French with English subtitles. Dirs: Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine).
