We saw 'Aan het eind van de aspergetijd' on TV; a movie made from a play. It was excellent, especially the acting.

Wonderful music, hilarious movie.

Incredible amount of car-crashes, too.

The other day we went to see "About Schmidt", a movie with Jack Nicholson.

A fantastic movie! Nicholson is just the perfect actor for this type of character-movies.

The movie swung between sadness, melancholy and absolute hilarious moments (the waterbed-scene is just terrific). It had been a long time since I laughed so hard at a movie.

Mieke arranged us a nice deal where we got the 2nd ticket for free. Thanks! Without this we probably wouldn't have gone to see it. And I can definately recommend it, just like many critics. The movie won two Golden Globe awards.

Tonight is an easy night; I bought some Guinness. Obviously we're not gonna watch Idols, just like last week.

We went to the Chess New Year's party yesterday, in Zeist. Sasha and I got a ride from Mark and Saskia. It was uncertain till the very last moment if we would be on time... but we made it! Well, at least for the main course of the dinner.

After a long dinner we saw the newest James Bond movie, 'Die Another Day'. It was surprisingly good, I really enjoyed it. Perhaps one of the best Bond films I've ever seen.

We came back from Amsterdam, we went to good-old Pathé Arena tonight. We've seen quite a lot of movies there when we still lived in Florijn. It's a great theater (and a lot better than the ones in Haarlem).

Tonight we saw Simone. I had high expectations but we were disappointed... Too simple story, bad acting: not recommendable. On the other hand, we still had a nice evening with an hilarious moment in the metro. We were discussing some secret stuff (in Bulgarian of course) when the guy opposite us started talking on his mobile... in Bulgarian!

We went to see Minority Report yesterday. It's a nice movie - liked it a lot.

In a few minutes we'll be leaving for a demo in Den Haag.

Alex & I just saw Bridget Jones Diary, a wonderful romantic and funny movie. Really very nice, highly recommendable. Guusbosman.nl has been unreachable for a few hours (from 17:00 to 23:15) -- security too tight ;)
