“De Eerste Nederlandse School in Boston” (ENSiB, or First Dutch School in Boston) opened its doors in September 2009. A team of enthusiastic and highly qualified Dutch teachers welcomed more than 40 Dutch speaking children to their classrooms in the International School of Boston in Cambridge.

The mission of ENSiB is to maintain and stimulate The Dutch Language and Culture (NTC) of Dutch speaking children in the greater Boston area, and to facilitate an eventual return into the Dutch/Belgian Educational system. ENSiB does so by providing NTC lessons on Sunday afternoons from 1 - 4 pm. The School also strives to offer Dutch speaking families a close-knit community where Dutch Language and Culture are central.

ENSiB is affiliated and accredited by the Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs in het Buitenland an organization appointed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, to stimulate, support and advise Dutch educational institutions abroad.
