May 4th Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Netherlands Carillon

On Tuesday, May 4th the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Renée Jones-Bos and the Netherlands Defense Attaché, Air Commodore (RNLAF) Tom de Bok of the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Washington, D.C., will place a wreath at the Netherlands Carillon at Arlington, VA. to pay tribute to all Dutch victims of war. Special honour is paid to civilians and to members of the armed forces who lost their lives in the Second World War, and to all Dutch nationals who have lost their lives since, in other wars or in peace operations.

The ceremony will take place Tuesday, May 4th. at 2.00 pm sharp, visitors are requested to be present at the Netherlands Carillon at 1.45 pm. The Netherlands Carillon is located near the United States Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima).
