Joseph O’Neill writes regularly for The Atlantic Monthly and he
recently won the 2009 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction for his critically
acclaimed novel, Netherland. O'Neil was born in Cork , Ireland , grew
up in Mozambique , South Africa Iran,Turkey,and Holland and now lives
with his family in New York . He has published two other novels as well
as one nonfiction book which was named a New York Times Notable Book.

Elizabeth Bradley serves as the Assistant Director for the Public
Programs and Lifelong Learning (Adult) at the New York Public Library
and as Deputy Director of the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for
Scholars and Writers. She is the author of Knickerbocker: The Myth
Behind New York, the editor of the Penguin Classics edition of
Washington Irving’s A History of New York and a contributor to The
Encyclopedia of New York City and The Cambridge Companion to the
Literature of New York City . Her writing has been published in The New
York Times, BookForum, and other publications.
