Our Dutch meetup walk along the beach takes place once a month, on the first Sunday, at 10:00 am. We'll start off at the boardwalk near the location of the rollercoaster and the castle-like structure of Hamel's Surfshop (704 Ventura Place, San Diego, CA 92109).  We'll wait for 10 minutes to give everyone an opportunity to locate the start of the walk. There is plenty of parking, either in the large lot just south of the rollercoaster area, in the lot near the roller coaster area, or in another lot, one block east of Mission Blvd. on West Mission Bay Drive. We'll walk for about half an hour, chatting in Dutch or English and take a break at the coffee shop near Kono's Surf Club Cafe, near the Pacific Beach Pier. We linger there for a while with a beverage, after which we'll walk back to the starting point. Total time is about an hour and a half for a 3-mile walk, which is non-strenuous. Please, note.....dogs are not allowed at the beach/boardwalk. This meetup is free of charge!
