On occasion of the publication of 'Exploring Historic Dutch New York',
the editors Gajus Scheltema and Heleen Westerhuijs will sign their travel guide on Friday 24 June 2011 from 6 - 8 pm in the Grand Salon, 3rd fl. at The Netherland Club of New York (3 West 51st Street).

This is a farewell event of Gajus Scheltema, who will exchange New York City for Islamabad in July.

This publication is a historical travel guide, which vibrantly touches on the lasting imprint of the Dutch colony of New Netherland in present-day New York and beyond, stretching all the way from the Hudson Valley down to New Jersey and Delaware.
This comprehensive travel guide brings you to sites of Dutch-American history and architecture. It also serves as an cultural and historical reference book. Sixteen internationally renowned scholars explore Dutch art in the new York Musea, Dutch cooking, Dutch architecture, Dutch immigration in the later centuries, English words of Dutch origin, Dutch furniture and antiques, and much more.

You are invited to sign up for this guide for the special prize of $13 (store prize is $19.95) – while supplies last! Use the sign up forms on this website.

This event is free for members and non-members.

There will be a cash bar open in the Grand Salon.
