We visited Nora's school today, and Nora showed us her work. This is the third and last time we're attending this event with Nora, a bittersweet thought.

She showed us the English words she can read (all the colors, several other short words) and her exercises with multiplication.

No hot chocolate this year.

Sunday night 3.7 million households were watching Luizenmoeders, a Dutch TV-show. I read about it in Trouw and then Ettie posted on Facebook that she liked it so we decided to give it a try.

The first episode was the best -- fast-paced and witty. But the 2nd and 3rd weren't bad either.

5 runs in a row, nice. Felt strong.

Tonight was the Superbowl and it was extremely quiet in Clarendon, except of course in a few bars.

I was caught by surprise by some black ice. I didn't fall but it scared me because I really didn't see it coming. The temperature is around freezing and that street is darker and I guess slightly colder than others.

But I ran now 4 times in a row, awesome. I feel that I have a little more energy, so at one point I wanted to speed up but I remembered the black ice on time.

I think it's been a while since I ran three times in a week. It feels awesome. Good time, too.

Along Fairfax drive I lost sense of time and space and just kept running, in the zone. Felt terrific.
