This weekend it's Haarlem Jazz City again; there are many music stages throughout the city.
We went out with Jerry and Marjolein yesterday night. We spent the biggest part of the evening around a smaller stage at the Spekstraat, behind the Grote Markt. The music there wasn't exactly jazz, but the atmosphere was very pleasant. Had a really nice evening; home around 02:30 o'clock.
During the day I visited Jip who celebrated his first birthday. Last time we saw him was when he was just born. He's quite big already. No real talking or walking yet, but experiments have been started.
Tuesday night I didn't sleep very well (we'll never eat from there again!). Yesterday I felt pretty weak all day, and I left home early.
When I came home I wanted to take a quick nap before dinner, so I went to bed at 18:00. Well, I missed dinner: I woke up at 04:00, and decided to continue sleeping :) So now I'm a lot more fresh, after a 13 hours night of sleep.
Too bad I couldn't go to Jelly's graduation party. She graduated with an average 8, congratulations!
I just came back from the house that Jerry and Marjolein are temporary taking care of. I went to feed the four cats that live there.
It was quite a complicated operation as each of the cats has a different place to eat its dinner and each of them has a different diet. I managed quite well I think, without getting seriously scratched.
Mr. Lämmel, my supervisor from the VU, sent me a copy of my paper with a lot of feedback. This weekend I'll incorporate his remarks into my thesis, which is really getting ready now.
We had dinner with Jerry and Marjolein. They are looking after a house in Haarlem. The house has a garden and we had a barbecue. This was an interesting happening for the cats there.
It was nice to see each other again; it had been a while.
I'm looking at a program to create an (internal) website for Chess. I found a very nice one (see experiment), but it runs a bit slow; it requires a quick computer.
On their website somebody recommended to install an "accelerator". I did so, and the difference is remarkable! It also affects Guus Bosman.nl a little bit: some 20% faster.
Today Svetla and Radoslav are getting married! Their official wedding was in the Nedelya Church in Sofia, see the picture on the right.

Irena and Jonathan just moved to their new house in
