I'm still at work. There's a small website we have been working on that has to be finished tomorrow, so I'm staying a bit longer.

Daniel arrived from Hungary yesterday. He was early and I was late so we met in Molly Malone's, a bar near Amsterdam Centraal. Jerry was there as well; it was a nice evening.

Music in MiddenmeerThis afternoon Harm and Marijke came to Middenmeer to play music with my parents. There were two clarinets and two saxophones playing, a good combination. We had dinner together, Jaap made a (delicious) Chinese rice table.

Harm and Marijke brought me home to Haarlem (thank you!). When I arrived there was a card from the Juma, congratulating me with my graduation. Very nice.

Yesterday evening I saw Bianca and her family. It had been a long time, so we had a lot to talk. Very nice. She did a research project in Malaysia and China and I saw the pictures.

Talked with my father, went to bed at 01:00 o'clock. I slept very nice again, probably because it's so quiet here. I woke up late and we played two games after breakfast. Mieke won the first game, I won the second one.

It's a very easy day today. In the morning (after sleeping in till 10:30) I started with reading the paper, and then we played Steden & Ridders. In the afternoon I spent some time on my Bulgarian. It has been a long time since I've really studied the language. Especially my knowledge of the grammar is a bit shaky.

Now we've just played the 4th game of this weekend. It was more difficult than the previous one, but I won again, hah. This implies of course that more games will played.

Yesterday evening I went to Middenmeer. The traveling is much shorter from Haarlem than it used to be when we lived in Amstelveen or Florijn. On the way from the busstop to my parents' house there were 2 people who greeted me by name.

Of course we played some games: two yesterday, and one just before lunch. I won 3 times! Surprising, because the last few times I played I was always last.

This morning I went to Schiphol, to say goodbye to Sasha. But for a very nice reason: she's going to the World Bank again.

She'll work there as a Short Term Consultant, starting this Monday. It's a different project than the previous time, this one deals with the effectivity of certain types of financial aid to countries. The work she will do there can probably at the same time count as an internship for her graduation. She'll stay longer than the previous time -- I'll go and visit her in a few weeks.

In 1998 I went to the States to work in a summercamp and I met a Bulgarian girl there. We fell in love, and after working the summer together we went on holiday to the Niagara Falls.

Much later we tried to determine the date that our relationship "officially" started, and we concluded that it was September 11th. Little could we have known...

Two years ago we were living in Amstelveen, and I went to Net.Footworks in the morning -- obviously with no idea about what would happen that day.
