Seeking Dutch speakers for linguistics study‏

My name is Nyssa Bulkes, and I am a graduate-student researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am seeking Dutch heritage speakers for a linguistics study I am currently working on. I understand that as a Dutch heritage center, some of the members in your community might fit this description. Would you be willing to forward this notice to your members, and ask them if anyone has spoken Dutch as a first-generation American or Dutch-American immigrant, and they know Dutch fluently, that I would be very appreciative if they contacted me?

The study poses no risk for participants, and participation would require about 30 minutes of time filling out two surveys online.

Please let me know if you'd be willing to forward this message. I would be happy to give you more information if you like.

Thank you for your time!

On March 2nd we will fly from Bogota to Miami where we hope to stay for one week.
On the 9th of March we fly to Greece and plan to cycle Turkey, Middle East, Egypt, Sudan and onwards.
Is there a chance that the Dutch community is able to help and support us.
I/we know it is a lot to ask to put up a family of four.
We are looking for a place to sleep.
Just a room/space/garage/garden anything is welcome.
In return we can share some great stories about our adventures/travels with the Dutch community and school.
We have no hesitation in sharing or paying for costs involved.
Check out our website, there is a lot of info about us.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

High School Student Visiting Charlotte NC in March 2011

Dear Sir or Madam,

Our family is hosting a high school sophomore from the Netherlands for two weeks in March 2011. His school provides this time for him to be exposed to businesses in other countries. He wants to see American businesses in the science, technology or engineering fields. Can you help me to locate companies or educational institutions that would be a resource for us to provide this exposure? We would greatly appreciate any input to what’s out there. His English is excellent.

Thank You,
John and Rhonda Urh
